Artist's Statement
Welcome to my creative space!
Thank you for visiting my website! I'm thrilled that you're here. I have been an artist - "a person who creates art, such as painting, sculpture, music, or writing, using conscious skill and creative imagination" (Merriam-Webster.com. 2022. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/artist ) - for as long as I could pick up a pencil. I received formal art training at the University of Tennessee, and have worked as a commercial artist, glass artist , painter and sculptor for over 30 years. I was also an attorney during many of those years, which helped me feed my passion for art and gave me life lessons that I could never have gotten anywhere else. Our planet is a magical place, full of inspiration and wonder. My work focuses on the beauty all around us, be it the sunrise welcoming the world to a new day, a songbird singing a happy song, a child discovering new wonders, or the changing seasons celebrating the circle of life. I hope my art makes you as happy as it makes me, and if it does, I invite you to own the magic along with me.
