Art Classes!

From landscapes to portraits to abstracts, learn all of the techniques that you can use with this versatile medium. Water it down with fluid mediums or apply it in thick layers with a palette knife. We will learn about color mixing and color theory, composition and ways to include mixed media for interest and texture. Base course fee is $35 for an 8x8 painting, one hour of instruction, and materials, but price can vary depending on canvas size and materials used. Can be suitable for ages 5+.

Explore the art of acrylic pour painting! Each session will feature a different pouring method (there are hundreds!), so you will learn something new each time you attend! Pick your colors and prepare to amaze yourself! Base course fee is $35, and includes one hour of instruction, and materials needed to create an 8x8 acrylic painting, but price can vary depending on canvas size and materials used. Your masterpiece will be available for 2-3 days following the class. Suitable for ages 10+.  

   Why buy when you can make your own? In this fun and informative one-hour class, you will learn all about making your own one-of-a-kind beaded jewelry, including tools, stringing, jump rings, head pins, eye pins, clasps, bead caps, crimp beads, crimp bead covers, and more! Course fee is $35, and includes one hour of hands-on classroom instruction, plus all of the materials needed to make your very own custom, matching (or not) necklace and earring set! Suitable for ages 10+.

 Resin is a versatile and captivating material that allows beginners to bring their artistic visions to life. In this beginner-friendly class, you will create a one-of-a kind resin coaster using alcohol inks, pigments, and other inclusions of your choice while learning the fundamentals of working with two-part epoxy resin. Base course fee is $35, includes one hour of instruction, safety gear, and all materials. Your resin creation will be available for pickup 2-3 days following the class. Suitable for ages 10+ with parental supervision.

 In this introductory wire wrapping class, we will cover all the basics of working with wire, including an overview of wire types, gauge, characteristics and tools needed to start creating with wire. Course fee is $35 and includes one hour of instruction, plus all tools and materials needed to create a wire-wrapped and beaded bracelet. Suitable for ages 10+.

 Sometimes referred to as mandala painting,  in this introductory class, we will learn about design tools and techniques, dotting tools, and paint preparation, and will create an 8x8 basic dot painted medallion on canvas. Course fee is $35 and includes one hour of instruction, plus all tools and materials needed to create your very own one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Suitable for ages 10+.

If you're like me, you have bags of old jewelry that you've inherited or collected over the years that you no longer wear. Why not make a keepsake work of art with your pieces to enjoy or gift to others? In this class, you will learn how to prepare a base for your jewelry art, how to design your jewlry art, and how to affix your jewelry to your base.  The cost for this class depends on what materials you provide, what materials I provide, and the size of your artwork.  As an example, if I provide all materials, is $35, which can include a 5x7 or 8x8 frame, velvet backing for the base, and jewelry/beads for your creation. This class can be suitable for ages 5+.
